Monday Free Write

I know I already wrote about how words and thoughts always seem to manifest into whatever I'm working at the time, but recently I've discovered that whatever I'm listening to at the time has the same effect. You see I've started binging on podcasts while I work on my various projects. And I've discovered that when I stop working on them and then pick them back up, I can still hear the last podcast I was listening to when I was working on it.

And depending on what I was listening to this can be a good thing or a bad. (I do tend to listen to true crime, so its always hit or miss if I want to relisten to the case again or not... whether or not its in my head or not). And yes I realize I should probably be listening to happier vibes while I'm working on projects, (so that the positive vibes get passed over to whatever I'm working on), but I really enjoy true crime and podcasts make it so easy to not only learn about new and weird cases, but it also gives me various points of view about old cases.

Overall I just find it really interesting that the mind has the power to recall what I was listening to at the last time I was working on some project. Sometimes I'll start a project and then quickly move onto another project. (Not my best habit, I know) and when I get back to working on the original project I'll instantly remember whatever podcast I was listening to. Even if there has been weeks or months between.

I guess in that way to power of the mind is far greater than we ever think it can be.
