Paper Clip Page Markers
Well its the end of banned book week and the end of September, so I thought for this month I would combine the two and share a really easy upcycle project that's perfect for books! (And its so easy there no reason for you not to try it too!)
The Project
Add Flair to Paper Clips to Make Page Markers
Idea from Rachel Theodore
Supplies Needed
Optional: e6000 Glue
Results
There really is nothing to this upcycle (and that's why I love it so much!. All you have to do is cut your ribbon into strips into about 3- 4 inch segments.
Then slip knot them onto the paper clip. Easy Peasy!
Or so I thought...
After trying out the paper clips page markers on my to-do notebook and the book I'm currently reading, I found after a day in my purse, the ribbons easily slipped off the paper clips.
I decided to glue my ribbons to the paper clips.
And I also decided to glue down the ends as well. (I just find that ribbon unravels really easily and glue down the ends fixes the problem!)
I used binder clips to make ensure the ends stayed glued together as they dried.
That definitely worked!
And now I'm able to keep my page markers in one piece!
