Crafting A Pine Cone Wreath
Before I really dive into projects, I wanted to share one last Christmas project. Remember all those pine cones I baked? Well I meant to turn some of those into ornaments, but never quite got around to it. The rest I meant to turn into a wreath, but some where between working and burning the hell out of my finger, I never finished it.
This year, however, I would like to finish projects before I move onto more projects. So even though Christmas has ended, I decided to finish my wreath. (This way its ready for next Christmas!)

So I ended up buying this read Christmas wreath frame instead of a standard wreath frame because it was 60% off. I thought it would add a nice touch to my wreath. What I didn't realize is that the gap between the circles was too large to fit the pine cones in.
I decided to try it anyways and I attempted to shove my pine cones together to fill it. (I also added some sparkly pom poms to add some color to the wreath). I only made it about this far before I burnt the hell out of my finger and had to give it up for the night.
It took a couple of weeks for my finger to heal enough for me to want to work on the wreath again and in the mean time I started working some ribbon throw the pine cones. I really like the way it looked, so I attempted to hot glue the ribbon into place. The problem with this is that my original pine cones weren't all that secure.
After knocking off more pine cones than I was keeping on, I realized there was no saving this wreath! And unfortunately I get to start off 2018 with a Pinterest fail.
And in case you want to see how my wreath turn out here it is:
