Monday Free Write

Happy Monday!

Its certainly been an interesting week around here... well at least for me it has been. On Thursday, they finally announced that my last day of work was Friday. It was a little short notice if you ask me and I wasn't able to give all my proper goodbyes. But after working in the same restaurant after 5 and a half years, I'm definitely ready to make the change.

And really there is no need to fret about leaving. I'm simply transferring to our sister restaurant across Disney Springs. (I'll get to that later). But for right now, I like to joke that I'm out of a job.

Also this week we had a change in President. I'm not going to lie its a hard bitter pill to swallow. But I don't like to dwell on things I can't change, so it happened...

And then a women's march happened the next day! There is nothing I love more than seeing a group of people coming together to support each other.

I honestly don't think there is enough of that anymore. Everybody's so concerned with being right, that they never stop to think that they might actually be wrong.

I'm so proud of everybody that got out and if I had known there was a march downtown (and had known I wasn't working Saturday), I would have dragged the boys down there to join in. (I myself would have marched about rape culture. But that too is for another time and probably another place!)

And... oh yeah we have a new home for the blog! I was scrolling though facebook this week and I came across an ad to try my a website on wix. And I thought there was no harm in trying. And I ended up loving it so much! Its not quite complete yet. But its getting better everyday.
