The Easy Way to Clean Seashells
So last week I shared my tip for collecting seashells. And while I love seashells, I really want to turn them into a craft project of some sort. But before I can do that, I had to give them a thorough cleaning. So I turned to Pinterest and I found a very easy way to clean my shells.

Depending on which cleaning directions you follow you can either soak your shells in a bleach solution for a couple hours or for a day. I decided to soak my seashells for a little over a day.
After they have a good long soak. I tried to give each shell a brief scrub before I let them soak in a water solution.
And its amazing how much sand and shell were leftover!
I then let my seashells soak in just water for a couple of days. Even after the bleach soak the water still smelled like the ocean. So I just might repeat bleach soak and water soak again.
Anyway for now I, with the help of Blue, laid out the shells to dry.
And then I moved them up next to my avocados, so that Lion wouldn't scatter them around the porch.
And the final step should be to either rub them with baby oil or mineral oil or to spray them with spray acrylic sealer.
