Recently Mike and I have gotten into a cleaning kick. This means there's a lot of getting rid of our excess junk and trying to reorganize the house. Its not my favorite thing to be doing, but I have found a lot of old things that I completely forgot I had and I was able to free up this small storage bin.

I originally used it for store small hand towels, but once I found a new spot for them I realized this bin was the perfect size to try out a yarn storage hack.

Instead of trying out this hack with fresh yarns skein, I decided to try it with old yarn I rolled back into balls.

This made the hack a little difficult to use. The balls often would get wedge against each other and it was hard to get them to spin properly. Other than that I really love this hack because it allows me to keep all my different yarns I'm using together and off the ground. As an added bonus, it makes it easy to take my projects with me!

And the downside is that it makes my yarn easy prey for Lion
