Easy Cord Wraps
All month long I've been trying out different scrap fabric projects and it inspired me to try one of my own. As much as I love reusing old q-tip containers to care my travel cords, I often find that its hard to put both in and nearly impossible to take out only the cord I want.
There are a couple of different cord wrap projects on Pinterest, but they're so bulky that they just wouldn't work for this storage area. Luckily I had some spare ribbon and some leftover velcro. I was sure if I put the two together I could create some simple cord wraps, that would easily fit in the space I needed them too.

Since I had no instructions for this project I just had to wing it! I started the project by cutting a piece of ribbon. It ended up being about 5.5 inches long. And then I glued down a small male velcro piece to the end.
(You could also sew the velcro piece to the ribbon, but I was already gluing the paper clip page markers, I just decided to glue the velcro down)
I then let the ribbon dry over night between two books. I then realized I forgot fold down the ends to make sure my ribbon didn't unravel. I quickly glued down the end that I could and also glued down a small female velcro patch on the opposite side and end of the ribbon from the male patch.
I then let the whole thing dry again between my two books.
Finally I gave them a few test tugs to make sure the velcro was going to stay in place. Once I was satisfied everything was secure, I happily wrapped up my travel cords.
Now my travel charging cord and auxiliary cord fit nicely together into one reused q-tip container!
